How to Add Friends on a Rented Steam Account

If you cannot add friends, contact customer support.

Method 1: Generate an invite link in Steam

  1. Open your profile → Friends → Copy quick invite link.
  2. Send the link to your friend (single-use; generate a new one next time).

Method 2: Open your friend's invite link in a browser

  1. Paste the invite link in your browser.
  2. Log in with your rented Steam account.
  3. Confirm on the page to accept the friend request.
